- I was born and raised in San Diego. I graduated from Clairemont High School. After high school, I attended Southwestern College and at the age of 22 transferred to the University of California, Santa Barbara where I earned my B.A. in English. Six months later I moved to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California where I earned my M.A. in Teaching. In the past I have worked at Just for Feet, Sea World, as a janitor, and have driven a school bus, charter bus and a bus for the elderly.
